Welcome to Nijmegen

At the beginning of this new year, The Bridge welcomes all new international and dutch students to Nijmegen. We hope everyone will have a nice and successful stay and that everybody had a pleasant Welcome Week/Introduction.

Our weekly Bible study group has already started, so if you want to join just send an e-mail to us (nijmegenbridge@gmail.com) or see the post about the Bible study group below. You can jump right in!

The date for the next Cultural Evening is still to be determined but will of course be posted here.

Mentoren gezocht!

This announcement is for the Dutch students in Nijmegen, so the rest of this message will be in Dutch:
Het international office van de Radboud Universiteit is op zoek naar studenten die tijdens de intro dit jaar (2e helft augustus 2010) mentor willen zijn van een groep internationale studenten. Dit is een mooie gelegenheid om in contact te komen met internationals en ze te vertellen wat The Bridge te bieden heeft! Enige vereisten zijn dat je Nijmegen een beetje kent, het engels fatsoenlijk en het nederlands redelijk beheerst en natuurlijk tijd hebt. Stuur een e-mail naar het e-mailadres van The Bridge als je interesse hebt!

The Bridge has contact with a group of German students, who also have a Bible study group in Nijmegen. Below is a small introduction about them:

WER? Wir sind eine kleine Gruppe deutscher Studenten in Nijmegen und treffen uns WANN? einen Abend pro Woche WO? auf einer unserer Studenten-kamern und WAS? reden über Jesus und die Welt! Auf einer freundschaftlichen Basis möchten wir persönliche Anliegen miteinander teilen und zusammen herausfinden was Gott uns persönlich durch die Bibel sagen möchte. Interesse? Currently, The Bridge is organizing a Bible study group in Nijmegen together with International Bible Study Nijmegen (IBSN). The schedule for these meetings (along with some activities to promote fellowship but don’t include a Bible study) can be found at their website:

Announcement!

The Cultural Evening that was scheduled for May 19th. has been pushed back one day, to Thursday May 20th.
It still starts at 20:00h. The location is ‘de Verwondering’ and the address is: Eilbrachtstraat 8.

Welcome in Nijmegen!

Today, the first lessons began in Nijmegen. The Bridge team wants to welcome especially the international students! We wish all the students a good stay and we hope to meet you this year so Dutch and International students can learn from each other!

At the moment we are busy with the preparations for the first activity of this year. More information will follow soon!
